Bitcoin SV Academy FAQ

The Bitcoin SV (BSV) Academy launched in December 2020 and now offers introductory and certificated courses in Bitcoin Theory, Bitcoin Infrastructure, Bitcoin Development as well as short courses on Merkle Trees, Digital Signatures and Bitcoin protocol and design.

Q: I’ve not started my course yet, is there a time frame to complete the course?

A: Our Bitcoin programmes allow you to adapt the curriculum to your life. You can learn at any time convenient for you. Courses are self-paced, so you can go as fast as you want or as slow as you need. Our engaging platform creates an exciting and connected learning experience wherever you are in the world. 

Q: First of all I would like to thank you for your very good work that allows everyone to improve and learn more about Bitcoin. I would like to know if the courses are given in different languages? 
 
Do you think you can deploy the courses in different platforms so that they are more accessible to more people and can override the state censorship around the theme of Bitcoin? 

A: Hi thanks for your comments! We haven’t yet started to deliver the courses in different languages but we’re set to launch a Chinese-version of our Bitcoin SV wiki and the Bitcoin Essentials: Bitcoin Protocol and Design short course on csdn.net in a short while.

Q: What is Bitcoin SV?

A: Bitcoin SV is Bitcoin as it was designed and described in Satoshi Nakamoto’s white paper titled Bitcoin: A peer-to-peer electronic cash system

Bitcoin SV (BSV) emerged to restore Bitcoin to the vision put forth by Satoshi Nakamoto in the white paper, specifically by lifting the block size limit and reenabling Opcodes to allow for unbounded scaling and usability, ultimately providing a truly global public infrastructure platform for financial and information exchange processes.

A: The BSV Academy aspires to be at the forefront in developing courses that will unlock the potential of Bitcoin SV. Q: What are the benefits of earning a certificate from the BSV Academy?

A: Certificates earned through the BSV Academy represent the acknowledgement that students have successfully completed a comprehensive course that has been thoroughly audited for accuracy by the expertise of the Bitcoin Association and select industry partners.

Q: What is the accreditation status of the BSV Academy?

A: Currently the BSV Academy is self-accredited.

Q: Where does the course content come from?

A: The course content is derived from the writings of Satoshi Nakamoto and the expertise of the education team at Bitcoin Association along with our partners from within the Bitcoin SV ecosystem.

Q: Which course should I begin with?

A: It depends upon your own knowledge and expertise. If you are relatively new to Bitcoin and BitcoinSV then we recommend that you begin with our Introduction to Bitcoin Theory course before pursuing any specific skill path.

Introduction to Bitcoin Theory covers the design of Bitcoin as a system as prescribed by Satoshi Nakamoto. This course is open to anyone who is interested in Bitcoin and is the beginner course in this series. Some technical experience would be helpful to complete the course, however it is open to anyone regardless of experience.

Q: What happens if I fail an assessment?

A: After every failed assessment you will be provided with a report showing which assessment questions were answered incorrectly and you will then restart that section from the beginning, please proceed carefully while reviewing your assessment report to ensure you are able to pass on your next attempt. You are allotted as many attempts as you need.

Q: What kind of device will I need to effectively participate in the courses?

A: The course content is best accessed from a laptop or desktop device.

Q: Who should I contact if I am experiencing technological difficulties with the course platform?

A: Once you’ve enrolled for one of the BSV Academy’s courses, reminding you to join our Discord channel. The channel is monitored by our curriculum creators themselves to assist with technological difficulties and any other questions about the course material.
